The Simi Valley Police Foundation is offering residents an opportunity to have lunch with Police Chief Mike Lewis at 11:30 a.m. Wed., April 29 at Lost Canyons Golf Club, 3301 Lost Canyons Drive, Simi Valley.

"This is a great occasion for the residents of Simi Valley to learn firsthand what is happening in the police department and how the department is working to keep the community safe," said Sharon Romano, president of the Simi Valley Police Foundation.

The event will feature a demonstration by the K-9 unit, including training exercises, obedience, handler and attack commands, and odor detection.

Door prizes will be lunch for two with Chief Lewis at TGI Friday's, a ride-along with a police officer, a golf foursome at Lost Canyons Golf Club and other items.
