Cajun Fest is scouting talent
      The Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise will be auditioning children ages 17 and under for a talent show happening during the club's annual Cajun Creole Musical Festival on May 23 and 24 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park.

Simi to host 'Pitch, Hit and Run' competition
      Simi Valley Baseball League will host the local Aquafina "Pitch, Hit and Run" skills competition on Sun., April 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3700 Royal Ave., Simi Valley. The event is free for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 and is not limited to league players. Each player will throw six pitches for accuracy, attempt three hits and run a set distance around the bases.

Ice cream shop sponsoring citywide egg hunt
      Fifty Haagen Dazs golden Easter eggs will be hidden in businesses around Simi Valley beginning Mon., April 6. Each golden egg contains a prize certificate that may be redeemed at the ice cream shop's new location inside Simi Valley Town Center.
