Applications are available for the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce's annual Street Fair scheduled for 9 a.m. Sat., May 9 on Cochran Street between Galena and Sequoia in Simi Valley.

"The Street Fair is a great community event and the perfect venue for showcasing Simi Valley's best businesses, service and nonprofit organizations. Last year's numbers were incredible, with approximately 240 local businesses taking part and 323 booths sold. We are hoping to surpass these totals this year," said Ben Gilbert, event chair.

The event features arts and crafts, food booths, shopping, product samples, demonstrations and a Kids Korner play area.
