Ojai Renaissance Faire and Pirate Festival set for first weekend in April
|
Attendees who bring a nonperishable food item for FOOD Share will receive $1 off the ticket price.
Visitors are encouraged to come in period costume.
The event will have two stages with continuous entertainment; battle reenactments and demonstrations; an outdoor marketplace with more than 55 juried merchants and artists offering original handcrafted items and period clothing, armament, fine jewelry, original art and pottery; and a full food court featuring such items as barbecued turkey legs, English bangers, sausages and desserts.
King Richard's Tavern will serve Newcastle ale, wine and adult beverages.
All participants are volunteers, with the exception of security. The family-friendly event enforces a no-tolerance policy for drug abuse and drunken behavior.
The Faire recycles all bottles and cans and donates them to Lake Casitas as a fundraiser.
