Touched by a random act of kindness

2009-03-20 / Letters

Three weeks ago I went to purchase some dog food at Theresa's Pet and Feed store.

I had to buy a large bag instead of the smaller one, but as I checked out my purchase I was short 87 cents.

A young lady in line gave me the dollar I needed and said, "Money given away comes back tenfold." I thanked her. She wouldn't give me her address to return the dollar. I returned later, and the clerk put the $1 into the adoption fund.

That was on Friday, but Monday I had to put my 15-year-old dog to sleep.

I took the large bag of food back to Theresa's, and they gave me credit for the whole bag.

I want to thank that young lady for her thoughtfulness. We all need to pass along her kindness to each other. Madeline Krutil Simi Valley
