Private academy hosting open house, picnic

Chatsworth Hills Academy will host a family picnic and open house from noon to 3 p.m. Sat., March 7 at 21523 Rinaldi St., Chatsworth.

Lunch will begin promptly at noon. Rain date is Sat., March 14.

Guests will be served lunch and can participate in a variety of school and summer camp activities, including go-carts, sports, bouncers and arts and crafts plus a sampling of the school's electives and extracurricular activities.

Families will have the opportunity to experience a classroom setting, tour the 16-acre wooded campus and meet teachers, students and parents.

Chatsworth Hills is an independent college preparatory school serving students from ages 2-1/2 to 5 through eighth grade.

Summer camp programs are also available.

The school is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and is accredited by both the California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
