Dog park opens March 14
2009-03-06 / Pets
The Simi Dog Park grand opening will be 10 a.m. Sat., March 14 at 2151 Lost Canyons Drive, Simi Valley. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held and the park opened for dogs and their owners.
The park features separate, fenced play areas for both large and small dogs, a watering station on both sides, and room for pets to run. It is open from dawn to dusk, with seasonal hours posted at the site.
Owners may bring balls and toys for pets to play with, but all items should be removed when leaving the park.
This is the only park in the city that allows for off-leash play for dogs. In all other parks, dogs must always be on leash.
