•Army Pvt. James A. Gennette has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

He is the son of Jim Gennette of Simi Valley.

•Air Force Airman John P. Halligan has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Halligan is a 2008 graduate of Royal High School and the son of John Halligan Sr. of Simi Valley.

•Army Pvt. Kyle E. Reynolds has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

He is the son of Sandy Sumpter of Simi Valley and a 2007 graduate of Simi Valley High school.
