An opening reception for an art exhibit by local artist Jorge Sanchez Sr. will be held tomorrow, Sat., Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi.

The exhibit, called "My Favorite Creations," will highlight the 69-year-old painter's latest works, many of which center around historical Latin American themes.

Special guests include the Rancho Simi Folklorico dancers, Robert Ortiz of Kids Gloves Boxing and Brian Espinoza of West Coast Jiu Jiutsu and Muay Thai Center in Oxnard.

Members of the Simi Valley Classics Car Club and the Motorcycle Women's Club will also be in attendance.
