HEART-POUNDING VICTORY—The  Simi Valley  High  boys' basketball squad, above, celebrates its dramatic 66-62 win over Compton at home Wednesday night  in  the  first  round  of  the CIF-Southern Section Division IIA playoffs. With the score tied at  62 and only  1.5 seconds remaining  on  the  clock, Pioneer senior Danny Cox hit a 3-point basket to win the game. SVHS senior guard Brad Lewis, left, led the team with 21 points, while Cox added 19. Simi Valley (216) will play at Rowland, an atlarge squad from the San Antonio League, which won its firstround matchup against Sunny Hills.
