Marc O'Hara Marc O'Hara, a political consultant based in Simi Valley, was selected by the American Association of Political Consultants to serve as a judge for the 2009 Pollie Awards, the "Oscars" of political campaigning.

O'Hara will assist in choosing the best work from among thousands of entries for political television and radio commercials, direct mailers, campaign brochures and yard signs.

O'Hara's firm, Precision Politics, has won 10 Pollie Awards for creative excellence in political advertising.

In 2008, O'Hara led four successful Ventura County-based election campaigns. He has conducted election campaigns and public affairs initiatives in 23 states.

Last year, the Pollie Awards and O'Hara were featured on two episodes of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

The Pollie Awards will be presented at the AAPC annual convention in Washington, D.C., March 27 to 29.
