      Love them or hate them, Royal High's wrestling squad proved once again why they are the cream of the crop in the Marmonte League. During the Marmonte League Wrestling Finals held at Simi Valley High last Saturday, six Highlanders claimed individual championships, matching last year's effort by RHS.

      Northern Area representatives in charge of putting together high school sports leagues for the 2010 through 2014 seasons voted 31-23 in favor of forming a four-team private-school league for football only on Tuesday in Santa Barbara.

Local gymnast earns top marks
      Katie Chamberlain, a thirdgrader at Vista Fundamental Elementary School in Simi Valley, competed in the Level 4 California State Gymnastics Championships at Bakersfield. Katie went toe-to-toe with the best female gymnasts in the state at the Platinum Level.
