Public should band together to solve barking dog issue
To those who live in Simi Valley and have had trouble with barking dogs: You must face the facts that all animal control rules were made by the animal control director who has been there for more than 30 years and is not inclined to deal with the public.
I tried to get the complaint forms, and I never received them. Finally, I went to the city manager's office and requested a meeting.
The code enforcement officer assigned to help me was fantastic, and I received the forms in a couple of days. By a huge coincidence, the dogs quit barking the same day.
Wow, I wonder who called them.
We need to band together and address the entire City Council and demand changes in how animal control is handled.
There is no reason for Simi citizens to go to Ventura with complaints since we have a courthouse here. I am open to communicating with other people who want to change this problem.
I am authorizing the Acorn to forward names and e-mails to me from people who want to correct this problem. Jules Rabalais Simi Valley
