City's bike plan is off course
2009-02-06 / Letters
I am in shock. I read in this morning's Acorn that the Simi Valley City Council has passed a plan to spend $23 million for bike paths. This is next to another article on business losses in our community.
Something is very, very wrong here. We are in serious financial crises in our nation, our state and our community.
There is a time and place for everything. This certainly is not the time for this kind of reckless spending. We have people out of jobs, who have no money for food, shelter or medical care. To these people, this is a cruel joke. Darlene Richman-Hersh Simi Valley
