Herman Bennett Foundation is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing the overpopulation and euthanization of cats and dogs in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

The foundation sponsors education programs that create community awareness and donates financial contributions for affordable spaying and neutering programs.

The foundation recently appointed Sandra Lozano as the new director of operations. Lozano will promote the foundation through the veterinarians involved in the financial assistance to low-income pet owners.

Foundation funds also provide booklets for educational programs through schools, houses of worship and other nonprofits.

The board of directors consists of Charlotte J. Brown, secretary; Mario Facione, director and member; Kimberly MayerKincaid, director and member, and Paul J. Meye, treasurer.
