Santa Susana High School, a California Distinguished School in the Simi Valley Unified School District, is accepting applications for the 2009-10 school year.

Santa Susana is a magnet school of approximately 1,250 students in grades nine to 12 who are interested in a strong college preparatory academic program, the visual and performing arts, or information technology.

The school offers a substantial Advanced Placement program as well as a variety of career and technical education programs leading to internships in the community in academics, the arts and technology.

The deadline to turn in applications for admission is 4 p.m. Fri., Feb. 27. Late applicants for fall admission will be placed on a waiting list.

Santa Susana is a silver medalist in U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best High Schools" and a California Business for Education/Just for KidsCalifornia Honor Roll School.
