One-man show coming to Simi arts center
StarDUST (Adventures in Consciousness) will be presented at 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat., Feb. 13 and 14 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Ave.
The show is written and performed by Ovation and L.A. Weekly award-winner Doug Motel.
The one-man show is described as "an evening of funny and thought-provoking stories about (Motel's) eyewitness accounts of American miracles and tragedies. A highly entertaining tale of awe, sadness, hope and the quest for enlightenment."
The play contains some mature subject matter and is not recommended for children under 13.

Motel will present a half-day workshop for artists, writers, musicians and performers titled "Creating from the Present: Tools to accelerate the creative process" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun., Feb. 15 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.
The cost is $50, and class size is limited to 25 students.
