Cindi Cockrill and Carie Hoglund of Aviara Real Estate would like to think all who contributed to their 2008 Harvest Food Drive.

"I was so impressed with all the people in the Conejo Valley community that stepped up to the plate to help raise food for needy families that are within the community," said Hoglund.

"We would like to especially thank Brian Conway, Micah Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Travis Kinworthy for going out of their way to make our event so successful," added Cockrill.

All food donations went to Manna. Enough food was raised to feed 40 families in the area.

Cockrill is a California native who has been a Conejo Valley resident for more than 25 years. She is active in many charities, including the Special Olympics and the local Women's Resource Center. She can be reached at (805) 450-5519.
