The Leo Club of Simi Valley will host a garage sale tomorrow, Jan. 17 from 7 a.m. to noon at 2259 Hietter Ave., Simi Valley.

The club has participated in numerous fundraising activities and community services in Simi Valley, including care packages for the troops, Habitat for Humanity, leadership training, aid for seniors, dinner with firefighters and collecting used eyeglasses.

The club received the Leo Club Excellence Award at the International Level.

Katie Salazar, a student from Santa Susana High School, was named Leo of the Year at the District Level.

The Simi Valley Moorpark Lions Club, sponsoring club of the Leos, is raising funds so club members may attend the Youth Symposium in Fresno in February.
