Owner of Simi Valley Ford appointed Chamber board chairman
Larry Hibbler The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce has appointed Larry Hibbler as chairman of the board of directors for 2009.
"We are so fortunate to have Larry Hibbler as our new chair. He brings his years of business experience to the table, as well as enthusiasm and innovative ideas for growing the Chamber," said Leigh Nixon, Chamber CEO.
As chairman, Hibbler will work directly with Nixon as well as officiate board meetings and provide direction for the implementation of various programs.
As a board member since 2006, Hibbler has served on various committees. He is the owner and president of Simi Valley Ford and has nearly 40 years experience in the car industry.
Other Chamber officers are Jill Haney of Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, chair elect; Pat Abruzzese of Pacific Coast Cabling, chief financial officer; Karen Gabler of Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, past chair and Harry VanDyck of Century Accounting & Tax Solutions, senior advisor.
Vice chairs are Shelley Baltimore of Courtyard by Marriot/ Holiday Inn Express, Mike McCaffrey of McCaffrey & Associates and Shari Schultz of New Directions Event Planning.
Board members for 2009 are Joe Engle of LoanSmart Inc; Dick Erbe of Law Office of Richard S. Erbe; Greg Gonzales of Americomm Systems; Lisa Hemenway of Waste Management; Deb Holler of Citibank; Daryl Kleintob of Supercuts; Corinna Larson of House of Ink; Mike Nolan of AFLAC Insurance; Tom Saulnier of Hand & Hand Total Body Wellness and Thomas Tarn of The Boeing Company.
