     BIRD MIGRATION?— Resident Kathy Korkmaz woke up Tuesday morning to discover a flock of flamingos had taken up residence in the front yard of her home on Casual Court—plastic lawn flamingos, that is. As it turned out, the pretty pink birds were the result of an ongoing fundraising campaign by the Royal High School baseball team. Historical society offering free training for volunteers
      The Simi Valley Historical Society is offering free training classes to prospective volunteers from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 13, 15, 20 and 22. All four classes must be attended for accreditation. Training will take place at Strathearn Park, 137 Strathearn Place, Simi Valley.
