The Ventura County Community Foundation is accepting proposals for grants from local nonprofit arts organizations.

The two-year grants cycle will distribute more than $90,000 through the foundation to the nonprofits.

The Grants to Nonprofit Organizations Program will be administered in two cycles. The 2009 cycle will focus on visual, media and literary arts. The 2010 cycle will center on performing arts as well as folk and traditional arts. Requests in any amount up to a maximum of $15,000 will be considered.

Nonprofit groups interested in submitting a proposal are required to attend the informational meeting from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tues., Jan. 13 in the Community Room at the Ventura County Community Foundation, 1317 Del Norte Road, Ste. 150, Camarillo.
