Simi Valley police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Sun., Dec. 28 outside the Grand Vista Hotel, 999 Enchanted Way.

According to police reports, Michael Eastman, 23, of Moorpark was approached in the hotel's parking lot at around 2:45 a.m. by several individuals brandishing handguns.

After the victim was coerced into handing over his wallet, one of the robbers reportedly struck Eastman on the head, leaving him with a laceration that required sutures.
