Grant aimed at helping victims of domestic violence

Interface Children Family Services has been awarded funding to continue providing crisis response for victims of domestic violence.

Due to recent state budget cuts, Ventura County was at risk of losing funding to provide immediate assistance to domestic violence survivors. After a competitive process, the Office of Emergency Services selected the Interface Family Violence Response Team as one of four programs to be funded in the entire state of California.

Services include immediate response, crisis intervention, emergency transportation, emergency shelter, safety planning, restraining order assistance, court accompaniment and referral information.

Interface has operated the response team since 2005, providing round-the-clock immediate intervention services to domestic violence victims in partnership with law enforcement, Ventura County Courts, medical emergency rooms, and public and private organizations.
