Active Adult Programs

The Simi Valley Senior Center will present the following activities.

Unless otherwise noted, events take place at the center, 3900 Avenida Simi.

•A class on the history of chocolate will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tues., Oct. 21. Participants will learn how this food was discovered and its modern uses, sample recipes and taste sauces on ice cream.

•An intermediate computer class will be from 6 to 8 p.m. for seven Wednesdays, Oct. 29 through Dec. 10.

Topics include Windows XP, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, saving documents and photos, and web surfing.

The fee is $46.

•A trip to Fantasy Springs Casino near Palm Springs will be on Fri., Nov. 14. The motor coach leaves at 7:45 a.m. and will arrive back at 6 p.m. Guests will explore, gamble and have lunch on their own.
