•Army Pfc. Amanda L. O'Keefe has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. O'Keefe graduated from Royal High School in 2007. She is the daughter of Lynette Armstrong and sister of Lindsey Pedder, both of Simi Valley.

•Air National Guard Airman Vincent R. Russo has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of Victoria Russo and a 2007 graduate of Royal High School.
