Vote-by-mail ballots available Oct. 6 Ventura County residents who have registered to vote by mail may pick up their ballots starting Mon., Oct. 6 at Ventura County Elections Division, Hall of Administration, lower plaza, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura. All voters registered to receive their ballots by mail should receive their vote-by-mail ballot during the week of Oct. 6. The ballot for the Nov. 4 presidential general election is made up of two cards. Voters may return their ballots by one of the following methods: •U.S. Mail firstclass postage of 59 cents. •Drop off at the city clerk's office in any of the 10 city halls in the county. •Return the completed ballots in person to the Ventura County Elections Division between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays. •Drop off at any Ventura County polling place on Election Day. All ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. Tues., Nov. 4 to be counted. Postmarks do not count. The last day to request a voteby-mail ballot is Tues., Oct. 28.
