Active Adult PROGRAMS

The Simi Valley Senior Center presents the following programs. The center is at 3900 Avenida Simi.

•The center will sponsor a trip to the Ventura County Fair in Ventura for Senior Day on Tuesday, Aug. 5. Admission to the fair that day is free for those 62 and older.

The bus will leave the center at 10 a.m. and arrive back at about 5:15 p.m.

The cost is $20. Reservations are due by Monday, July 28.

•A book and movie program will take place from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11 at the center. Attendees will read "The Piano" by Jane Campion prior to the class. At the session, attendees will discuss the book and then view the movie.

The fee is $2 to cover refreshments and movie rental. Friends of the Library is the facilitator.

•The center will sponsor a trip to the Huntington Library and Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

The bus will leave the center at 9:15 a.m.

The cost is $59, which includes admission, bus and lunch at the Soup Plantation in Pasadena.
