Park district offers movies and more

The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District offers a number of family friendly entertainment events in Simi Valley this summer. For more information, call (805) 584-4400 or visit www.rsrpd.org.

•Music in the Park Concerts include Hotel California, an Eagles tribute, at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 19, and Savor, a Santana tribute, at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16, both at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Admission is free. Bring a blanket or low chair for lawn seating.

•Films Under the Stars include

"Nancy Drew" at 8 p.m. or dusk Friday, July 25, and "Enchanted" at 8 p.m. or dusk Friday, Aug. 22, both at Rancho Simi Community Park amphitheater, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Admission is free. Bring a blanket or low chair for lawn seating. Films are projected onto a 20foot inflatable screen.

•Dive-In Movies presents "Surf's Up," Saturday, July 12 and "Over the Hedge" Saturday, Aug. 9 at Rancho Simi Community Park Pool, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Pool opens at 6 p.m. and movie is shown at dusk.

Admission is $3 per person.

Attendees may swim in the water or bring a blanket or low chair for seating. Movies are projected onto a 24-foot inflatable screen.

•Family Night at the Pool will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 26 and Aug. 23 at Rancho Simi Community Park Pool, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Admission is $3 per person. Attendees may enjoy the water while watching a movie on a 24foot inflatable screen.

•Club Envy for teens will take place from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 18 and Aug. 15 at 5005-C Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.

Event includes dancing and dance contest, music and more for teens in grades eight through 12.

Admission is $5 at the door. ID is required.
