Kindergarten Crash Course Tuesday/Thursday, July 15 to Aug. 21 or Wednesday/Friday, July 16 to Aug. 22 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Center, Simi Valley. Fee: $180. Class prepares students for school by reinforcing simple reading and writing tasks, strengthening recognition of shapes, colors, numbers and letters.

Cartooning Under the Sea July 7, 8, 10 and 11 for ages 6 to 12.Fee is $72, includes materials. Children will draw sharks, jellyfish, octopi and more.

Summer Art Camp July 22 to 24 for ages 6 to 12. Fee is $57 and includes materials.

Princess Drawing Camp July 22 to 24 for ages 5 to 7. Fee is $57 and includes materials. Participants draw themselves in glamour wear.

African Safari Camp Aug. 4 to 8 for ages 6 to 12. Fee is $90 and includes materials. Campers draw mandrills, hyenas, giraffes, rhinoceros, cheetahs and more.

Reading, Math and Writing July 21, 23, 28 and 30 for grades three to four, or five to six. Fee is $100. Build on foundation concepts, increase skills, write.

Science Camps Weeklong camps with topics Super Detective Camp, Red Hot Robots, All-Terrain Tracker, Fossil Hunt, Advanced Robotics and more. Ages vary from 6 to 12 years.

Acting Camps Weeklong camps include Commercial/Film Boot Camp, Crime Scene Investigators Camp, Musical Theater Camp, Drama Sampler Camp, Wizardry and Literacy Camp. Ages vary from 6 to 13 years.

Sports Camps Weeklong sports camps for flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, golf, girls softball, and tennis.

Martial Arts Programs offered all summer in karate, judo, tae kwon do, hap ki do, and self-defense. Ages and prices vary depending on class.
