CSA swimmers going for gold

Conejo Simi Aquatics (CSA), an aquatics club serving the Simi and Conejo Valley areas, has announced that two of its most accomplished alumni will compete at the upcoming 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

The trials will be held in Omaha, Neb., June 29-July 6. The country's best swimmers will compete for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team that will travel to Beijing, China, later this summer to compete in the Olympic Games.

Included in this group of top swimmers are two gifted CSA alumni: Emily Bibb, 19, a graduate of La Reina who just finished her freshman year at UCLA, and Kara Denby, 22, a graduating senior at Auburn University and a world record holder.

Both Bibb and Denby will be representing their universities and CSA at the Trials.

Bibb will compete in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle events, while Denby will compete in the 100 breast stroke, 200 IM, 100 freestyle and 50 freestyle.
