Local grads stand out at college

•Cody MacArthur of Simi Valley graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C. during the recent 2008 spring commencement ceremony.

•Katherine Perdue of Simi Valley has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Providence College in Rhode Island. To qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average.

• Boston University has announced its dean's list for the spring semester. Simi Valley students recognized for this honor include Trisha K. Monesi and Katelyn E. Zulauf.
