To Church of Christ protesters: Enough is enough

The protesters at Simi Valley's United Church of Christ have made their point about illegal immigration- and for about eight long months.

I agree we must do something about our borders. But I think it's time for these protesters to move on to other efforts of making a difference in someone's life and this world, such as volunteering to help kids to read and write, visiting the lonely elderly in nursing homes or the sick in hospitals, helping in a food pantry, picking up trash in your neighborhood, painting over graffiti, etc. The list is endless.

Be an example for our youth to model so they can live in a better world.

If they aren't learning values at home, perhaps they can benefit by seeing you beyond sitting in a lawn chair waving Old Glory.
