Muscle cars will be on display in Chatsworth

California Car Cover Company will host its 13th Annual National Street Rod Association Appreciation Day Car Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18 at the company's site, 9525 DeSoto Ave., Chatsworth.

This year's event will honor Galpin Auto Sports, one of Southern California's leading custom shops and the force behind the MTV show "Pimp My Ride."

Several Kustom Kulture vehicles from the Galpin collection will be on display, including icons from Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and George Barris.

Other showcased creations will be the first 2007 BOSS 302 Mustang and the 800 horsepower '65 dieselpowered Impala "Bio Rocket."

The event will feature more than 400 street rods, customs and muscle cars.

Admission is free to the public.
