Mormon Church will 'salute' veterans at Memorial Day event

APPRECIATION- Veterans and their families enjoy last year's "Salute to Arms."

All Simi Valley veterans and their spouses are invited to the third annual "Salute to Arms" luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, in the Sinaloa Building at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 480 Sinaloa Road, Simi Valley.

LDS Single Adult Group of the Simi Valley Stake will pay tribute to all who have served the United States. A special tribute will be made in honor of the late Paul Molé, a former Marine sergeant and owner of Paul's Italian Villa, who died recently.

Food will be donated by local restaurants, and local businesses will donate gifts to be given away as door prizes.
