St. Peter's opens school

St. Peter Claver Catholic Church announces the opening of a new Preschool, Kindergarten and Youth Center at 5670 Cochran St., Simi Valley.

As the only Catholic preschool and kindergarten in Simi Valley, the new school will specifically serve the parishes of St. Peter Claver, St. Rose of Lima in Simi Valley and Holy Cross in Moorpark. However, members of all faiths are welcomed.

The youth facility will be a place for teens to congregate and also to prepare for the sacrament of communion.

Bishop Thomas Curry will dedicate the new building on Sunday, May 11 after the noon Mass. The public is invited to attend.
