Band pays tribute to Molé

The Simi Valley High School Jazz Band dedicated their performance at the recent 2008 Jazz Festival in Reno, Nev., to the late Paul Molé, owner of Paul's Italian Villa in Simi Valley.

Molé supported the music program at Simi Valley High School by repairing instruments for students, giving technical advice, arranging music lessons and supporting fundraisers.

"I don't think there is anyone in the Jazz Band whose life has not been touched by Mr. Molé, and we are proud to make this tribute in his memory," said Joey Marquez, lead sax.

The Jazz Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 23 at the high school, 5400 Cochran St., Simi Valley.
