Livingston Memorial Foundation awards grants to county organizations

Livingston Memorial Foundation of Westlake Village has presented grants totaling $406,000 to 33 Ventura County nonprofit organizations for medical- and health-related issues during its 2007-08 grant year.

A special grant was awarded to the Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association in support of its mission to provide subsidized care to Ventura County residents in need.

The following agencies are among those that were awarded grants:

•Arc Ventura County Inc- $15,000

•Camarillo Hospice- $2,500 •Conejo Valley Senior Concerns- $2,500

•Free Clinic of Simi Valley- $10,000

•Hospice of the Conejo- $1,500

•Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association Health Corporation- $145,500

•Moorpark Active Adult Center- $4,500

•Palmer Drug Abuse Program- $12,000

•St. John's Healthcare Foundation- $25,000

•Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation- $55,000

Since its inception in 1974, Livingston Memorial Foundation has awarded grants totaling approximately $9.3 million to health-related agencies serving citizens of Ventura County.
