Ahoy, mates! Pirate Faire returns to Ojai
Family event starts tomorrow

The 18th annual Ojai Renaissance Pirate Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11 at Lake Casitas in the Ojai Valley, 12 miles inland from Ventura, off Highway 33.

The fair will feature three stages with ongoing presentations and plays.

There will be an outdoor market offering visitors handcrafted items, period clothing, armament, jewelry, art, pottery and other goods from more than 50 merchants and artists. Battle reenactments and demonstrations will be held on both days.

A food court will sell food such as barbecued turkey legs, English bangers, sausages and desserts. Newcastle's ale, wine and adult beverages will also be available.

Admission is $15 for adults, $7 for children ages four to 12 and free for children under four.
