Kiwanis introduces K-Kids Club

Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley chartered the first K-Kids Club in Simi Valley. KKids Club is a service organization for elementary school students.

With more than 20,000 members worldwide, K-Kids focuses on developing leadership skills, building moral character and encouraging loyalty to school and community.

The Simi Valley K-Kids Club celebrated their charter with a celebration at Knolls Elementary School that included pizza, salad and cake.

Ten students were inducted into the new club by Larry Madick, administrator for the Kiwanis California/Nevada/Hawaii District. Also in attendance were school principal Judy Cannings, K-Kids advisers Kristin Rice and Ashley Mjoen, and Kiwanis adviser Linda Zulager.

Officers announced at the celebration were president Francesca Messina, vice president Molly Conner, treasurer Kelly Weldon and secretary Sabrina Josephson.
