Let's ease the rhetoric about Cornerstone

In response to the letter from Margie Roblin in last week's Acorn, Cornerstone Church is being given anything but a free pass.

Cornerstone has not asked for extensions except for where they are warranted by the commission's missing of deadlines themselves.

This church has even offered a portion of their land to the city by way of establishing and maintaining soccer fields for free use by the residents of Simi Valley.

I firmly believe that Cornerstone's mission of kindness, caring, compassion and love will be more of a benefit to the community than a detriment.

Maybe it is time to ease the rhetoric and give some kudos to a group of people whose intentions are honorable and who want nothing more than to be an asset to Simi Valley.
