Strawberry Festival needs volunteers

The California Strawberry Festival is looking for volunteers to provide assistance at the festival Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at 3250 S. Rose Ave., Oxnard.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Applications are available at www.strawberry-fest.org. Positions include greeters, shortcake tent helpers, contest assistants and more.

All applicants must attend an orientation meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, May 5 in the Ventura Room at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way.
