Salvia article is inaccurate, sensationalized

"Parents warned of new, legal hallucinogenic drug."

This is poor sensationalized journalism at its very worst. It is obvious no fact checking was done whatsoever.

Salvia does not activate the "same receptors in the brain that cause dependence" as opiates. This is factually incorrect.

It is poorly understood how Salvia works, but it is known that this is not true. The examples your writer uncovered, or made up, certainly do not reflect any common real world examples.

Why not assign her to write about humans who have spontaneously combusted or something more up her alley?
