Wants police to take mail box crime seriously

Thank you for your informative article concerning theft of mail from mailboxes.

Unfortunately, my neighborhood has been dealing with this issue for a few years. The response of the police has been to refuse to take a report, with the excuse: "The cost of the paper of the check is only worth 2 cents."

Hopefully now the crime of mail theft will be taken seriously by law enforcement.
