Annual fundraiser targets breast cancer

Simi Valley Hospital Foundation's annual Hats Off to Women event is scheduled for Friday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

The agenda includes lunch, silent auction, free health screenings, fashion show, tours of the library and presentation of the Simi Valley Woman of the Year award.

Keynote speaker is nationally recognized

Jacqueline Berger, who will present a histori

cal portrait of the

nation's first ladies including "their ambitions, their passions and their romances."

This fundraiser is a special tribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation which has donated a digital mammography system to the hospital.

At the event Janelle and Neal Hail, president and executive director of the NBCF, will be recognized for this donation.

They will also present a check to Darwin Remboldt, president of Simi Valley Hospital Foundation, for an additional $50,000 to fund mammography screenings for uninsured women at the Nancy Reagan Breast Center.
