See works of art in progress at Ventura ArtWalk

Ventura Harbor Village will host "Art in Motion" in celebration of Ventura's ArtWalk Weekend from 10 a.m. to dusk, Saturday, April 26 at Ventura Harbor Village.

The event will feature opportunities to view artwork in progress and talk to artists about their work, as well as try out hands-on projects.

Highlights of the day's activities include chalk street painting, a photo contest, children's art projects, easel painting with watercolors, stunt kite-flying, ice sculpting and live dance performances.

In addition, the Art in Motion weekend will reveal the newest art piece to the Harbor Village, a sculpture titled "Cranes of Peace" by Christine Bierne.

Limoneria Company will present a hot air balloon glow at dusk on the Ventura Harbor Main Lawn. From 4 p.m. to dusk children and adults will be allowed to participate in chalk paintings on the Main Lawn Stage.

Parking and admission are free. Some activities will require a small fee.
