Kiwanis seeking nominees for community service award

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Susana is seeking nominees for the annual Jack Simmons Community Service Award.

To qualify, nominees must exemplify the spirit of volunteerism in the Simi Valley community.

The recipient will receive a plaque, and a $500 donation will be made to the charity of their choice.

Nominations must be received no later than May 15. The date of the award ceremony will be announced before the end of May.

F. Jack Simmons was a charter member of the club who gave tirelessly of his time, talents and other resources to help make Simi Valley a better place to live. He selflessly gave, without the expectation of reward or acknowledgment of his service.
