Kindergarten enrollment now open

Kindergarten enrollment is underway for the 2008-09 school year. Families are encouraged to register early so that instructional materials can be ordered and ready when school begins on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

The 2008-09 school calendar is posted online at www .simi.k12.ca.us.

To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before Dec. 2, 2008.

A birth certificate must be presented at the time of registration. The state of California also requires the verification of an immunization record as well as a physical examination and an oral health assessment for the child.
