Scholarships available through Ed. Foundation

The Simi Valley Education Foundation is accepting applications for five available $1,000 scholarships.

Scholarships will be awarded to one student each from Apollo, Royal, Santa Susana and Simi high schools as well as Moorpark College.

To be eligible for scholarships, students must be planning to graduate this year and be planning to attend a vocational educational institution, two-year college or four-year college.

Students must complete an application, include a personal essay and attach a copy of their official high school transcript.

Applications are available at each of the schools' counseling center or online at www.svef.org.

Deadline for submission is Friday, May 2.
