Local heroes will be honored

The Peace Officer's Association of Ventura County will host the 35th annual Medal of Valor Awards banquet on Saturday, April 19 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

At the event, local police officers and citizens who perform heroic acts will be recognized.

Tickets are $75, which includes a tour of the library and dinner. Doors open at 5 p.m. Social hour will be at 6 p.m., and the awards ceremony and dinner will begin at 7 p.m. For more information, call John Samarin at (805) 583-6950.
